There are just four weeks to go before Christmas! Have you thought about shopping locally and supporting independent businesses this year?
More and more people are being encouraged to shop locally this Christmas to support independent businesses and boost the local economy. Brighton & Hove is incredibly fortunate to have a strong independent shopping scene, offering a more sustainable and environmental alternative to high street and Internet shopping.
This December, Copperdollar Studios will be hosting an Art Market for you to purchase unique and handmade gifts to give your loved ones over the festive season. We have invited members of the community to exhibit and sell their designs, prints, toys, vintage props and costumes.
Artists and sellers you can expect to see include prints from Drawing Boards, Lui Lopez, Binky Art Hund, Moose Azim and Copperdollar Studio’s Kt Simpson. There will also be children’s toys made by MILLERGOODMAN and wooden food platters from Special Branch Furniture.
Our event is in partnership with the Kemptown Village Christmas Collective. Each participating venue will have a red lantern outside to let you know they are open for Thursday’s late-night shopping event on 5th December 2019. Copperdollar Studios will continue their Art Market on Saturday 7th and Sunday 8th December to give you more of a chance to look through the different stalls.
We will also be collecting donations for the Clock Tower Sanctuary at this event, and so any donations you can make would be hugely appreciated. Come enjoy a mince pie and a mulled wine, and shop locally this Christmas!
The market will take place over three dates:

THE DRAWING BOARDS
The Drawing Boards, create unique designs on skateboard decks. Ad McEvoy has been creating graphics within the skateboard industry for the past 20 years and will be at the market selling some limited artwork and merchandise.
