Currently based in Brighton and around the Sussex area, Unitary Studios are equipped with the perfect blend of industry knowledge and creative flare to start working on your videography project. We were lucky enough to have them use the studios recently for a really exciting reason… check it out below.
We spoke to the producer, James to find out a bit more.
James, what a fantastic video, can you tell us what you worked on in the studios for those who might not recognise it in the shots?
As part of our graduation project at Brighton Film School we shot a music video for Drum & Bass giants Hybrid Minds and a new track they have just released.
How did you hear about the studios?
The BF school have used the Copperdollar Studios before and so I was aware of it and wanted to use it myself!
What did you like about the studios?
The studios were particularly well suited to our needs as we were searching for something that looked abandoned. By the time we dirtied-down the set to make it look less clean (!), the location really came alive in the way we needed it to. In addition, it is well priced, well kept and a very homely, inviting space to work. The use of a kitchen with stocked supplies is a nice bonus. Kt was incredibly supportive, and forthcoming in order to help us complete our project.
Can you tell us a little bit about your profession and how you got into it?
As a graduate of Brighton Film School I undertook the role of producer in this particular project. This is something I also pursue personally – I run a Brighton based video production company. Check out the website for it here: https://www.unitarystudios.co.uk/
And finally, what is the most rewarding part of your job?
I’d definitely say it has to be the sense of achievement after completing a project; seeing it all the way through pre-production, production and finally post-production.
