The world is in disarray from the pandemic, but there is light in these dark times. We have seen the natural world breath again. One thing we can do is change our habits that contribute to the climate breakdown. Inaction will be costly to future generations and our living planet.
We are doing our best to be eco-friendly and resourceful to help support our living planet. The Covid-19 outbreak has meant we must use more single-use items for health and safety. At Copperdollar Studios, we have selected eco-friendly materials where possible. Our paper towels are made out of recycled coffee cups with 100% ecological paper.
Time is running out to guarantee a future for the next generations and to save our living planet from destruction. Everyone should try to conserve energy and reduce plastics along with other man-made materials that contribute to the climate breakdown. We must try and adapt our mindsets and start conserving resources immediately. Ecosystems are collapsing under increased human consumption with many species threatened with extinction.
Who is most suited to be the guardians of the world?
We have come across an organisation called Survival International who help to support indigenous, tribal and rural communities. These societies have lived on natural landscapes since human existence. These people should be the guardians of natural habitats rather than the Western world travelling thousands of miles to these areas and changing it. They should be the ones being listened to for preserving resources and maintaining the natural world.
How would we feel if people came from the other side of the world uninvited to tell us how to look after our habitat? We would want to be considered and be part of the picture.
Copperdollar Studios has made a decision to support Survival International along with the Woodland Trust this year. We invite you to research these organisations when you have a spare moment, and others like it, to understand the vital conservationist work they are doing to protect the planet. If you are able to, donate what you can to ensure they can continue to maintain our natural world and to help leave a resourceful planet for future generations.
New direction for our blog
The studio will remain closed until the government restrictions have eased and the spread of the virus has decreased considerably. Your safety is a priority for us. We feel it is not viable to continue to open our doors while under strict lockdown conditions in England.
During this lockdown, our blog will focus on local businesses who are flourishing using environmentally-conscious initiatives. We would like to highlight positive news in our communities when so much focus has been on the negatives. Stay tuned for some local success stories looking at people who are making a real environmental change in the community.
As always, stay subscribed to our newsletter for updates on reopening or follow our Instagram and Facebook pages.
